The Bible is filled with the requirement that parents should teach their children about God. For example, in Deuteronomy 6:5 we read the instruction, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words....you shall teach diligently to your children..."

The first ministry of every parent is to nurture, guide and lead their children closer to God by teaching them about Jesus Christ and helping them understand Scripture. Here at FBCR, we have a burden to come alongside our parents and equip them to fulfill that task.

If you do not have a regular time of devotion with your children, we want to encourage you to begin an exciting time of spiritual growth as a family. We can provide many different resources to help you start this new journey of faith together. Family devotions can range from reading a pre-school child a Bible story, all the way to an indepth study of a book with your pre-teen.
