Young & Median Adult Ministry

bible study

Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples was to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” That command is the ultimate purpose for  our adults here at FBCR. We are passionately concerned with pursuing that task today as we lead our people in evangelism, equipping them to go out into a world in the name of Jesus Christ. Through our Sunday morning adult Bible Study, we want our adults to understand their role in telling others the good news of God’s life-transforming grace in Jesus Christ. The gospel of Christ is the only way our broken community will ever find reconciliation with God and the wholeness it seeks.

The Sunday morning Bible Study seeks to address two primary needs. First, we want men and women to experience community as God intended it, like a family, supporting and caring for one another through the joys and pains of life. Second, we want to educate people so that they grow in their faith, knowing Christ deeper through the study of His Word, the Bible. The Bible serves as our textbook, teaching, admonishing, correcting, and training us to live as God intends, discerning His will and, most importantly, practicing what God has revealed in Scripture.

Finally, through our Bible Study we want to equip you to serve God through His church. We wish to help you mature in your faith in Christ in order to give you opportunities to serve, utilizing your unique skills and concerns to work for Christ’s Kingdom. Believing it is not God’s will for you to sit and be a spectator, we want to help you discover the meaningful place of service to others.
